Volkswagen has clocked in 140pc growth selling a total of 78,408 units for the calendar year 2011 as compared to 32,627 units in the same period last year. The two new carlines – the Passat with BlueMotion Technologies and the Jetta have shown strong growth since its market launch with the Passat selling 1,170 units since its launch in April and the Jetta 1,688 units since its launch in August. In addition to that, the Polo and the Vento have a selling total of 74,305 units for the period January, December 2011.
